The higher the tog rating, the warmer the duvet, so a winter weight duvet will have a tog rating of between 12.0 and 13.5, whereas a summer one will have a rating of around 4.5 - 5.0. How to put on a duvet cover Line up the duvet cover and the duvet on the bed, both the right way round. Stuff the top corner of the duvet into the top corner of the duvet cover, and secure in position with a clothes peg. Do the same with the opposite corner. Now shake the duvet cover so that it falls over the duvet. Put the two remaining corners into position (they should be virtually there), fasten the duvet and smooth the cover so it looks neat.
